Abstract
Glass fiber-laminated vinylester resin was immersed in a 20wt.% chromic acid solution. Degradation behavior was studied in the range of solution temperatures of 10∼70℃. It was mostly controlled by penetration rate of solution at temperatures below 50℃ and by hydrolyzed rate above 50℃. It was also found that diffusion coefficients of the chromic acid solution was lower than that of pure water. Equilibrium sorption value for the chromic acid solution was 0.43wt.% and activation energy for diffusion was 6.1Kcal/mol. The rate of weight loss of specimen immersed in the chromic acid solution increased with temperature. Flexural strength decreased rapidly due to the silane groups at the interface between the resin and glass fiber.

20%(중량%) 크롬산용액에 유리섬유로 강화된 비닐에스테르수지 적층판을 침지시키고 용액의 온도변화(10∼70℃)에 따른 열화거동을 연구하였다. 적층판의 열화는 50℃ 이하의 낮은 온도에서는 주고 용액의 침투속도에 영항을 받았으며 그 이상의 온도에서는 가수분해되는 속도에 영향을 받았다. 크롬산용액의 초기확산계수는 순수한 물보다 낮은 값을 나타내었고, 평형확산양은 0.43%(중량%)였으며, 확산에 대한 활성화에너지는 6.1Kcal/mol이었다. 시험편의 단위시간당 중량감소는 크롬산용액의 온도가 높을수록 크게 나타났으며, 굴곡강도는 유리섬유에 처리된 실란이 가수분해되었을 때 급격하게 감소하였다.
