Abstract
The eight-coordinate zirconium(IV) complex has been synthesized from the salicylaldehyde(SA), 2-mercaptopyrimidine(MPD) and zirconium(Ⅳ) isopropoxide isopropanol complex at a mole ratio of 2:2:1, respectively. A new linear eight-coordinated Zr(Ⅳ) polymer with Schiff-base was prepared by condensation polymerization of eight-coordinated Zr(Ⅳ) complex and 1,4-diaminobenzone(DAB). Structure of the complex was determined by NMR, IR, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. Solubilities, viscosities and thermal stabilities to the polymer has been investigated.

지르코늄(Ⅳ) 이소프로폭시드 이소프로판올 착물에 2-메르캅토피리미딘(MPD)과 살리실알데히드(SA)을 반응(몰비=1:2:2)시켜 8-배위 지르코늄(Ⅳ) 착물을 합성하였다. 합성한 8-배위 지르코늄(Ⅳ) 착물에 1,4-디아미노벤젠(DAB)을 축합반응시켜 Schiff 염기를 갖는 새로운 선형 8-배위 지르코늄(Ⅳ) 중합체를 얻었다. 착물과 중합체의 구조를 핵 자기 공명 분광기, 적외선 분광기, 질량분석기 및 원소분석으로 확인하였으며, 중합체의 용해도, 점도 및 열적특성을 조사하였다.
