Abstract
Poly(diisopropyl fumalate) (PDF)/E8 composite films were prepared by solvent casting, and the electro-optical properties of the films were subsequently investigated as a function of film composition, applied voltage and frequency, and temperature. It was found that the light intensity difference between power-on and -off state was maximum at 40/60(PDF/E8) composition. In 40/60 composite film, the electro-optical properties were strongly dependant on the applied electric field as well as on the temperature.

클로로포름을 용매로 하여 Poly(diisopropyl fumalate) (PDF)와 액정(E8)의 복합막을 solvent-casting 방법으로 제조, 복합막의 조성, 인가 전압과 주파수 및 온도변화에 따른 복합막의 전기광학적 성질을 조사하였다. 전기장 제거시와 전기장 인가시(1KHz, 200Vp-p) 투과광의 강도차이는 복합막의 조성이 40/60(PDF/E8)에서 최대였으며, 복합막의 전기광학적 성질은 인가전기장의 변화는 물론 온도에 따라 크게 달라짐을 알 수 있었다.
