Abstract
This paper deals with the synthesis and properties of soluble polyacetylene derivatives by copolymerizing of dipropargyl ether and phenylacetylene. The WCl6-and M0Cl5-based catalysts were effective for this copolymerization. The copolymers prepared by PdCl2 were mostly soluble in organic solvents although the polymer yield was low(43%). The copolymer structure and the composition ratio of each component were identified by NMR(1H-and 13C-) and IR spectroscopies. The thermal properties (TGA) of resulting copolymers were also studied.
