Abstract
Pure Chitin was obtained from lobster shell by simple treatments with 1N NaOH and 1N HCl solutions. It was converted into Chitosan by deacetylation with an aqueous 47% NaOH. By selective stearoylation with an amphiphile 5 a Chitosan having hydrophobic side chains was prepared and its supramolecular structure investigated by sanning electron microscopic means. It was found that this Chitin derivative arrregates into a 1amellar crystal structure.

1N NaOH와 1N HCl로 대하의 천연 키틴을 정제하여 순수한 키틴을 제조하였다. 47%의 NaOH용액으로 키틴을 탈아세틸화 시켜 순수한 키토산을 얻었다. 여기에 화합물 5를 반응시켜 소수성의 긴사슬을 가지는 유도체를 얻었으며 그것의 응집구조를 전자현미경을 이용하며 관찰하였다. 그 결과는 여러개의 판상층이 평형으로 모여진 결정구조였으며 그 구조의 모델을 제시하였다.
