Abstract
High density polyethylene (HDPE) thin film containing 45wt% phtodegradable master batch (M/B) was prepared by inflation film processing. The seasonal variation of mechanical properties and morphology of film with the outdoor exposure was observed. The effects of water on the mechanical properties and morphology of film were examined during the irradiation. The mechanical properties of film were decreased in the order of summer > autumn > spring > winter and were much affected by the presence of water during the irradiation.
